How to read this table
A local plan uses a single country's own carrier — usually the cheapest data and the strongest coverage in that country. A regional roaming plan spans many countries on one balance, connecting to a local partner network as you cross each border — ideal for multi-country trips where you don't want a new SIM at every stop.
Coverage is strong in cities and along main routes everywhere we list; it naturally thins in high mountains and remote desert, so download offline maps for trekking and back-country legs. Every plan is data-only — keep your home number in the phone for calls.
